Darren Kenny won his
fourth gold medal of the Paralympic Games as Great Britain celebrated
four successes in Beijing today
It was Britain's 37th gold of the Games and took them
one behind China in the medal table - Britain's cyclists have now won
a remarkable 17 golds.
Danielle Brown and John
Stubbs struck gold at the Olympic Green Archery Field
before a glorious Games for Britain's cyclists continued on the road.
Rachel Morris, David Stone
and Sarah Storey were victorious in
their respective time-trials on day six and Britain have now won five
out of nine events entered at the Ming Tomb Reservoir road cycling
course.
Sascha Kindred was Britain's first finalist of the day
at the National Aquatics Center but could not add to the two golds he
won earlier in the week as Xu Qing took the men's S6 50 metres
butterfly in a world record of 30.79secs. The 30-year-old from
Hereford won bronze, finishing third in 32.49. |
