MODERN PENTATHLON
Great Britain's Jamie Cooke was crowned junior modern
pentathlon world champion in Argentina. The 20-year-old came from
behind in Buenos Aires to take the title, winning it ahead of Pavel
Iliashenko and Alexander Nobis. Cooke had started the day with a poor
display in the fencing and was 29th heading into the swim, but picked
things up after that to secure Britain's third medal of the weekend. |
