Emma Pooley claimed victory ahead of Nicole Cooke in
the women's Fleche Wallonne race in Belgium today. Pooley (Cervelo
Test Team), the Olympic road time-trial silver medallist, claimed a
solo win ahead of three-time champion Cooke (Great Britain), the
Olympic road race gold medal winner, at the Belgian race. Cooke was
eight seconds back in second alongside Sweden's Emma Johansson
(Redsun Cycling Team), with Briton Sharon Laws (Cervelo) finishing 11th. |
