SAILING
Hannah Mills and Saskia Clark led a British surge on
the second day of the Skandia Sail For Gold Regatta in Weymouth Bay
as they claimed the overall lead in the 470 class. A seventh place
and a race win was enough for Mills and Clark to leapfrog their
rivals while Laser Radial sailor Alison Young also impressed with two
race wins and a second.
CYCLING
John Degenkolb produced a power-packed display to win
stage two of the Critérium du Dauphiné in Lyon. The
young HTC-Highroad rider surged to the head of affairs on the final
short but sharp climb, a 1.8km rise at 4.8%, to the top of the
Côte de la Croix-Rousse. |
